I’m Erin, the home cook behind Cream & Cloves.
Before starting this project, I spent many years working in education as a teacher and school principal. Teaching has always been part of who I am, and that naturally shapes the way I approach cooking today.
Instead of complicated chef techniques, I focus on clear methods and dependable results that build confidence in the kitchen.
Cooking should feel approachable.
Once you understand a few foundational ideas — like the effects of heat, basic ratios, or how aromatics build flavor — an entire world of recipes becomes much easier.
Cream & Cloves grew from my love of classic recipes, comforting sauces, and fragrant ingredients like garlic, nutmeg, herbs, and warm spices.
My goal is simple:
help home cooks feel capable, curious, and excited to cook.
